Everton preview: Let's continue from Tuesday night

On the back of a good midweek victory and now up against a side who haven't beaten us at home in the league since 1986, anyone would think that we have three guaranteed points in the bag tomorrow afternoon. I'd love to say I agree, but Sod's Law suggests that when there's a 'dead cert' something will go wrong. In actual fact I think we will win tomorrow (I'm opting for 2-1 by the way), but I think it will be hard work. We have injury doubts over our two goal scorers from Tuesday night (Berbatov and Jenas) but I would hope they’re both declared fit to play. Well, I only hope Jenas plays if he performs like he did against Sheffield United rather than how he did against Bolton. Therefore, despite Defoe’s sharpness when he came on on Tuesday, I expect Martin to field an unchanged side, with JD starting on the bench.

If we’re serious about improving last season then this is a ‘must win’ game. It doesn’t need to be pretty, but the boys do need to concentrate, be organized and finish clinically. Come on you Spurs!
