Sheff Utd preview: Strong start to home campaign expected

Fortunately we get the opportunity to quickly eradicate the disappointment of Saturday with our first home game of the season this evening. Before last weekend most people would have predicted a convincing Spurs victory I think, but following our capitulation and Sheffield United's determination against Liverpool, things could be pretty tight.

That said, I think we'll bounce back from our opening day frustrations with a 2-0 win. It would be great for Berbatov to get off the mark as soon as possible, so there's no better time than in his first competitive home game.

With the news that Tainio is back in contention for a place following injury (and the fact that Gardner was almost fit to face Bolton), I think Jol should opt for the following: Robbo, Stalteri (despite his lack of concentration, I'd rather we had a right footed player at right back), Dawson, Gardner, Young-Pyo, Routledge (on the right), Tainio (attacking central midfielder), Zokora (defensive central midfielder), Lennon (on the left - I know he's right footed but he did well when he moved to the left against Bolton), Berbatov, Keane. When I say "I think he should opt for" I know this won't be the case - as Stalteri and Routledge have not even been named in the squad! I have a feeling the only two changes from Saturday will be Keane starting ahead of Defoe and Tainio starting in place of Davids. We shall see...

Let's just make sure that there is plenty of support tonight, especially for the new boys who will undoubtedly be nervous and yet keen to win over the home crowd. Come on you Spurs!
