High flying Man City next up at the Lane

It's that time of the season when matches come thick and fast. No sooner have we finished analysing Thursday's UEFA Cup game and we've our next league match, at home tomorrow afternoon to Man City.

Now City have surprised a lot of people this season as Sven really has ensured that they've started the campaign positively. However they haven't travelled particularly well, and for that reason I'm hopeful we can pick up just our third league win of the season so far.

I think tomorrow's encounter will be an interesting one on other levels too. Since we've drawn City in the quarter finals of the Carling Cup this could act as a dress rehearsal - it'll be a good test of the managers to see which team improves the most between the two games. It'll also be interesting to watch Petrov play - although I'll be watching him through green and envious eyes. Forget all the money we spent this summer, the one position we've needed to strengthen for ages is left midfield and Petrov would've been the perfect signing. Alas, Levy and co were more bothered about signing youngsters so Petrov got away.

But as for tomorrow, I hope Pascal and Lee recover from the knocks they picked up on Thursday. I'd then expect the only change to be Berbatov starting with Bent up front (in place of Robbie who misses his first game of three following last week's ridiculous sending off).

And my prediction? I'm going for a 2-1 win to us. COYS!
